Barclays Arena
The Barclays Arena (formerly Barclaycard Arena) Hamburg has been an integral part of the cityscape of the Hanseatic City of Hamburg since its opening in November 2002. More than 1,200 concerts by the world's most famous bands and musicians, shows for all age groups and a wide variety of sporting events have taken place in northern Germany's largest multifunctional arena, which can seat up to 16,000 people.
Since autumn 2007, the Barclays Arena Hamburg has been part of the Anschutz Entertainment Group, a subsidiary of the Anschutz Corporation, which is one of the world's leading companies in live entertainment and sports. Every year, more than one million visitors flock to the more than 130 events in the arena.
